June TBR

May was a really great month, at least at the end when I just went and binge reread the Folk of the Air trilogy by Holly Black. It was a moment I needed, and greatly appreciated with my weird reading slumps. I’m still getting used to working from home with my business, and it is seriously messing with how I motivated myself to work on the blog. I’ll figure it all out eventually, but for now I’ll use the books to get my crap together.

-Two Princes of Summer by Nissa Leder (an Amazon recommendation)

-Hunted by the Sky by Tanaz Bhathena (Arc)

-Half-Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout

-The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

– Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody

This is definitely an aggressive tbr for me given the last months, but the next post will explain this a lot better as I move to catch up on my reading challenge and enjoy a whole lot more books! What are you reading as we get into the summer and exit the worst of the quarantine? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I tried listening to The Bear and the Nightingale but it was a DNF for me. I might pick it up again because the story itself is somewhat interesting but the style of storytelling isn’t what I expected. It’s written as if someone is telling you a story out loud and while that isn’t a bad thing, it’s not something I’m used to so it was kind of boring.

    1. I’ve been having it in my tbr for a few months so hopefully I’ll read it soon, it definitely sounds good and has great reviews, but narration could be a big drawback. I guess we’ll see how this one goes.
