Reading Check-in

I started this year with the hope that I would be better at reading than the last year. I even thought that 45 books was a decent goal to be setting, easily achievable. Unfortunately, things change, especially in the current state of things, so I’ve already tweaked my reading challenge goal to 30 books for this year. I’m hoping to read a few more books than that for this year, but I also know the math I’m facing to achieve that kind of goal, so I’m trying to be realistic as well.

Part of the need to change my reading goal came from my work load as I transition from freelancing to back in the office. As I’ve been slowly going back to the office have also dealt with results of being home 24/7 for over a year, a crap immune system. Art is still a huge factor in my time on weekends, but I’m very slowly getting myself worked out. I’m already back to reading on lunch breaks and cutting out webtoons on my evenings (or at least minimizing). Now it’s just balancing my time spent on social media that I need to curb.

How is your reading going this year? What are some “tricks” you use to keep yourself on track? Let me know in the comments below!
